Good Bye, Tim Russert. You Were The Man

Having just learned of Tim Russert's much-too-early passing at age 58, there is little that can ease the sad hearts of so many today. As the tribute shows are cobbled together there will be tears and anger at losing this bright example of journalistic integrity.

In more ways than can be measured, the steady, sane presence of the no-frills Tim Russert at the helm of Meet the Press lead us as a public through many a dark and treacherous sea.

Thanks, Captain Tim. You were a good man. God speed and drop in from time to time to see how we're doing as a country.

You will be gravely missed by your family and deeply missed by millions of people you never met.
